My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Nico is a 2 year old Chihuahua that was surrendered to the shelter because his family was moving and couldn't take him with them. Because Nico is used to being in a home, he has been terrorized at the shelter. If you take it slow, very slow, he warms up and is a little cuddle monkey. Don't think his growling is meanness. He loves other dogs, cats and kids. He's so tiny kids in the family should be over 7 years of age. He's a lap dog and loves to go for walks. Watch it, he's a runner. If he gets off the leash, be prepared to chase him for awhile. Nico really is a super sweet boy once he gets to know you.

If you have kids and/or another dog in your family and are interested in adopting a Friendship dog please bring them with you for a meet and greet. No appointment is necessary. Stop by anytime during regular business hours.
