My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MADISON
2-3 yo Blue smoke & white Persian

Madison came to us when we got news of four cats living in a garage in the dead of winter. It was so cold in that garage that one of the cats had actually crawled into a lizard cage, sat under a light bulb, and caught his coat on fire. Madison was bone thin and near death when we got her. It was only the diligence of two different foster moms that helped pull her through to become the vital cat she is today.

Despite her bad beginnings, Madison is a great, loving kitty. She follows her foster mom all around the house and sleeps on her pillow at night. She is a tiny thing and only weighs about 5 lbs. Sadly, Madison is in renal failure at a very young age. This may have something to do with her lack of care, or maybe she ingested something in that garage that damaged her kidneys.

She is currently eating and drinking well, but she doesn't seem to want to gain much weight. Madison may live another 6 months, or she may live 15 years, it's really hard to tell. With proper diet, and good veterinary care, she can live a happy healthy life for quite some time.

We hope to find a wonderful family that will adopt this little girl and see to her special needs. We hate to see her living her life in Rescue when she could get so much more attention in her own home. If no one steps forward to adopt her, we hope to find a person that will help us by sponsoring her vet bills for us.
