Yes, Wikipedia has that right. But does it mention that I'm wise with years, mellow, in good health or that I get along with other dogs? It doesn't say anything about what it's like for an intelligent young senior like myself to feel a bit of impatience at wanting to get on with my life. I love my foster family but I need stability. I need to know that I'm where I'm going to be for the rest of my life. I need to make plans; for instance, which end of the couch do I prefer, where does the sunlight come in the window at the best angle for a warm nap, how quickly can I teach someone what my favorite treats are? I may not be good at chess but you can talk to me about anything. I'll listen. I'll understand. Do you understand? I need to be taken home.
