Sheba's Story...
Sheba is a 6 year old domestic shorthair grey female. She came to our shelter with a very large hernia on her side from being bitten by a dog. We have since had the hernia repaired and Sheba is now spayed, microchipped and is current on all vaccinations. Sheba looks a little funny right now because her side has been shaved but she should grow most of her hair back. There may be a little scarring after she is completely healed but it shouldn't be too noticeable.
Sheba may have had a rough beginning but she is a super sweet girl that has a lot of love to give. She is looking for a loving family where she can feel safe and comfortable.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sheba, a Red Wing Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Red Wing, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Red Wing.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Red Wing already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Red Wing breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Red Wing paves the way for another one to be saved.
