Gypsy's Story...
Gypsy is a fantastic four year old mixed breed girl who is just about the perfect size at around 60 pounds. She's an exuberant and happy go lucky pup who will do great in almost any environment. She is already housebroken and doesn't bother anything, but she is also crate trained. Gypsy knows her basic obedience commands and is working on leash training in her foster home. She is great with other dogs and her perfect home will have an energetic canine friend for her to romp with and a fenced yard would be ideal. Complete an application at www.henricohumane.org to get started adding this terrific gal to your family!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gypsy, a Richmond Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Collie for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Collie dog from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Collie breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
