Gibson's Story...
Gibson is so sweet and lovable. He loves to give kisses and sit on his persons lap. He does well with small children and likes to play with them. He enjoys playing with the resident dogs and cats. Gibson is doing well on house training. Gibson is estimated to be 12 weeks old and 12 pounds right now.

Since we don't know at all what doggy genes are in the dogs make up (we don't know who mom & dad are!), we are guessing on breed and size when grown.

Please note that because we require a home visit at the time of adoption we can only place animals in homes within a 60 mile radius of Minneapolis.

If you are interested in meeting this dog or pup please fill out the pre-adoption application on our website at www.safehandsrescue.org under Adopt and we will get back to you to arrange a meeting in the foster home.

We also have an Adoptable Dog Meet & Greet on Saturday May 4th at Fetch Delivers Warehouse at 2303 Kennedy St. NE from noon - 2 pm.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gibson, a Minneapolis German Shepherd Dog/Retriever (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Retriever (Unknown Type) for sale in Minneapolis, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Retriever (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in Minneapolis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Minneapolis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Minneapolis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Retriever (Unknown Type) breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Retriever (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Minneapolis paves the way for another one to be saved.
