Paris's Story...
Meet Paris!

Paris is a Golen Retriever/Lab Mix who is between 1 and 2 years old. She was sadly used for breeding and is only now about to learn what life is really all about.

She is a sweet girl who loves to play and be active. She just loves playing catch if you have a tennis ball on-hand! She's good with other dogs but a little timid around large ones, however she warms up to them. She just loves small dogs!

She likes to walk in the lead on the leash but does not pull. She walks best on a harness as the tightness of a collar on her neck makes her nervous. She loves car rides and children but can get a bit excited when meeting new people.

Paris also loves to 'talk' meaning she is a vocal girl who expresses her boundaries, excitement, and anxieties through barks. She's definitely got the watchdog gene and will bark to let you know the doorbell is ringing or that someone is on the property.

Paris also thinks she's a lap dog ;) She loves cuddles and to be the center of attention, and shows a touch of separation anxiety when alone. She is incredibly smart and knows her basic commands, she is also smart enough to sometimes get out of her crate -- luckily she never does anything bad once she's out, she'll just be waiting for you to come home.

Do you have room for Paris? Let us know if you can give her a new LEASH-on-life!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Paris, a Pitt Meadows Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever for sale in Pitt Meadows, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Pitt Meadows.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Pitt Meadows already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Pitt Meadows breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Pitt Meadows paves the way for another one to be saved.
