Patches's Story...
Patches is one adorable gal with a fantastic personality. Her foster parents have given her rave reviews. Here is just the latest:

"She is a wonderful, wonderful girl! Patches has been on runs, walks, a 4 mile hike and trips to the dog park. She was not as timid this time at the park and enjoyed running and making new friends. If she did get scared, she would look to us for assurance. She runs and walks like a champ. She is not really a 'smeller' - she doesn't stop to take in the smells, she just likes to keep moving. She is excited to go, yet, she does not pull to the point that she chokes or huffs. When passing bikes, cars, other dogs, people, she has been indifferent and keeps on moving. She and her canine foster sister are great friends playing and chasing each other. They 'like' to steal each other's toys. She is a fastidious 'potty' gal - she goes right away or if you mention it to her. She is cat friendly. Although she looks like a puppy, we have not seen any destructive behavior beyond toys. Obviously you still have to be careful not to leave things out that she may not realize are not toys, but she is not mischievous and doesn't try to get into things. Ohhhh, she is a snuggler - so a home with lots of cuddling is necessary! "

Patches is looking for a home with daily walks or jogs. Another canine friend to romp with would be ideal for her too. As mentioned, a home with lots of daily and ongoing snuggling is an absolute must for our loving gal. Please fill out an application for this sweet girl today. She's eager to hear from you -

Patches weighed 14.9 pounds when we saved her from the kill list.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Patches, a Phoenix Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
