Sam's Story...
Sam is a good ol' boy who is gentle and so well-behaved. His owner passed away and that is how he ended up at the shelter. We felt he had a lot more love to give and wanted him to find a home to live his golden years in. He likes taking short walks, likes car rides, other dogs, and just laying by your feet being near you. For more information about this sweet guy, please contact

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sam, a Sacramento Cocker Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel for sale in Sacramento, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel dog from a breeder in Sacramento.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sacramento already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sacramento breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sacramento paves the way for another one to be saved.
