Katie's Story...
Katie #387 is a very shy rescue but is less shy as she is settling in from all the changes in her life. Katie was in an E WA shelter as a stray before rescue, so she has had to adjust to a name change also since she had no ID. She is a beautiful long-coat Chi, Tri color (black/brown/white) & weighs 7# & is about 8 yrs old. For more information about Katie, please contact her foster Mom in Mount Vernon, WA at or Katie's adoption fee is $200. We do not do same day adoptions unless you are preapproved. Adoption application with references checked & a home visit are required. We do many special events during the year, so check our calendar on our website:

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Katie, a Seattle Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Seattle, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Seattle.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Seattle already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Seattle breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Seattle paves the way for another one to be saved.
