Licorice's Info...

I am already neutered, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Licorice's Story...
Licorice is a snuggly, social, sweet, outgoing, and playful one-year-old, black male cat looking for a loving guardian. Licorice loves other cats and dogs. Unfortunately, he has tested positive for the Feline Leukemia virus which is contagious to other cats, but not dogs or people. Licorice is full of purrs and love for everyone he meets. He loves to be picked up and held. He also loves to play fetch, and passes a foam ball around the house with his paws like a little soccer player. He’s looking for a home as either the only cat, with another fe-leuk+ cat, or with a dog. Licorice uses his litter box and scratching post like a good boy. He is neutered, de-wormed, up-to-date on vaccines and micro-chipped. To meet and possibly adopt Licorice please contact Terri at kinsellaterri@hotmail.com or 224-725-0960. His adoption fee of $95 benefits the rescued pets of Friends of Chicago Animal Care and Control.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Licorice, a Chicago Domestic Mediumhair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair kitten from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
