Newman's Story...
Newman is a 2 1/2 year old un-neutered male Corgi whose owner could no longer care for him. Newman will be available for adoption on April 30th after 6pm. It is reported that Newman is good with other dogs and has lived with a year old boy. He is good with indoor cats however not so good with stray cats that run. He does enjoy a ride in the car with his family. He appears to be house trained as he keeps his kennel free of messes. UPDATE: Newman is currently at an off-site location and will be back at the shelter by Saturday.

If you want to apply for Newman click here. You can then email the application to the Meridian Humane Society.Applications are now being accepted, and a visitation with the dog is encouraged. All applications will be considered and the adoption coordinator will call the person chosen to adopt the dog after the available date.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Newman, a Meridian Corgi dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Corgi for sale in Meridian, or seeking a Corgi dog from a breeder in Meridian.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Meridian already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Meridian breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Corgi breeders who help with Corgi rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Meridian paves the way for another one to be saved.
