Falcon's Story...
Falcon is a 2.5 yr old(1/26/14) boy who was not being cared for properly. He and his sister were living under a house and drinking out of puddles. He is a lively and loving boy who likes to play and run. He loves to be with humans, but is rather shy around new ones and will bark. He is leash/crate trained. He sits on command, but has a hard time holding still as he is a bundle of energy. He is probably too excitable and energetic for a family with small kids. He growls if another dog shows too much interest in his food, so he needs to be fed in a crate or another room. He eats very quickly as if he's afraid someone will take it away. He is very smart and easy to train. He has the most beautiful, shiny black coat. It shines even when he rolls in the dirt. He is heartworm negative.

Although Falcon is currently in Amite, Louisiana, transport to New England can easily be arranged through Animal Rescue Front.

About Animal Rescue Front, Inc.

About Our Rescue Group...

ARF started in 2005 in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and because of the shocking treatment we saw many animals in the Deep South endure and the extremely high kill rates in their shelter system we have stayed committed to helping animals in the states of Louisiana and Mississippi. Many of these wonderful animals would be killed in a shelter or abandoned outside if not for our continued efforts.

Our Adoption Process...

Adoption donation: $475.00 for our adult dogs 2 to 5 and $375.00 for those who are older than 5 years of age. Neutered puppies <1 year old are $550.00. Un-neutered puppies (not fixed because they are too young) are $550.00 and a refund of $70 will be given to adopter when proof of neuter is presented to us.The adoption donation covers the transport to New England and exceptional vetting from our local veterinary teams down south. As well we reimburse our local rescues down south so they can continue their life saving mission. We do require you to fill out an application and provide a vet reference, and a home inspection may be requested. Every animal we adopt MUST be spayed/neutered and we reserve the right to request proof of this. Our adoption application is on our website at:

Thanks for rescuing!

Please note - we will not adopt a puppy to anyone who is not willing and committed to ensuring their new family member never reproduce. Spaying and neutering your pet contributes to efforts to reduce unwanted and homeless animals in the United States and your animal will be healthier. Our adoption fees are nonrefundable after 30 days. If for whatever reason your adoption is not suitable to you or the animal we ask that you return them to us if prior to 30 days.
