COCO's Story...

Coco (A19698865) is an adorable ~3-5 year old Cocker Spaniel/possibly Beagle mix who was surrendered to ACCT because his owner could no longer care for him. Poor Coco is pretty nervous here, and would love to get out ASAP! He is very excited at the prospect of going out for walks—he goes to the bathroom right away, and may get the gist of being house trained! Coco has some hair loss along his back along with crusty skin—he will be getting looked at by a vet, and likely be started on medication, which we will provide for you. Please let us know if you can help him!

Act quickly to adopt COCO. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

COCO, a Philadelphia Cocker Spaniel/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel/Beagle for sale in Philadelphia, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel/Beagle dog from a breeder in Philadelphia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Philadelphia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Philadelphia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel/Beagle breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Philadelphia paves the way for another one to be saved.
