My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Disposition: self-assured.

Gracie is like an old maid aunt with impeccable manners and a sense of detachment that is a big front. She hangs around the other cats, observing them without being bothered by them. She enjoys attention but never asks for it. When she gets attention, she indulges herself on her terms then lets you know when she's done with you. She is a quiet creature, except when she meows and she sure can meow when she wants to, especially when she's being bossy. We call her our "kitchen kitty" because she enjoyed sitting in the kitchen window for hours. Now, she ventures into the rest of the house, mingling with other cats with a kind of grand old lady aloofness that is somewhat amusing. But don't let that fool you. She actually adores attention, whether she will admit it or not. Just don't touch her butt. It's like messing with her hairdo, her brown tabby immaculate hairdo.

Gracie came to us when a family that had been feeding her wanted to find her a proper home. It appears that Gracie had strayed away from her own companion family and was fortunate enough to find a kind human to take her in. They adored her but could not keep her in the apartment so they did what they could to ensure that she had a secure future.

There is a great loving kitty inside Gracie, and it's wonderful when she lets that kitty out because she can love and purr and rub away with the best of them! Please be the one to take in this great lady and let her boss you around.
