Trooper's Story...
Trooper is a Retreiver mix who the breed experts say has some golden in him. We thought he was a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling one, but no-one seems to know about that and we think it may be why no one has stepped up to adopt such a handsome friendly family dog. He is a year old and may be trained. We couldn't leave him in the shelter so after a couple of months there he has now found a foster home. Please contact "tritobin@charter.net." for more info and see how he's getting on. He will have other dogs, chickens, cats and lots of people exposure so he will certainly be well rounded when he does find his forever home..

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Trooper, a Lincolnton Retriever (Unknown Type)/Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Retriever (Unknown Type)/Golden Retriever for sale in Lincolnton, or seeking a Retriever (Unknown Type)/Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Lincolnton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lincolnton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lincolnton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Retriever (Unknown Type)/Golden Retriever breeders who help with Retriever (Unknown Type)/Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lincolnton paves the way for another one to be saved.
