Thalia's Story...
Daredevil! The man without fear! *Almost* In this case Thalia is a girl and she was never issued a superhero costume. She is blind however and has been since birth. She doesn't even realize she's "special" and so she is just sailing through life being a normal dog. She is great with other dogs and cats (possibly because you don't chase what you can't see). She is very good natured and affectionate and loves attention. She is two years old and weighs about 10 lbs. She's even house trained. She came to us from a shelter where she was brought in as a stray but now she is spayed, groomed, vaccinated, microchipped and has had a dental cleaning. She is beautiful and sweet beyond words. Her foster mom says she's the ultimate low maintenance dog. To meet Thalia please email or call 503.857.5047

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Thalia, a Sheridan Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Sheridan, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Sheridan.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sheridan already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sheridan breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sheridan paves the way for another one to be saved.
