My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweeper is an adorable, fun and friendly, three-year-old, 12-pound, female Chihuahua/Rat Terrier-mix looking for a loving guardian. Sweeper is outgoing and friendly with everyone she meets. She loves to play ball or with her toys. She is full of kisses and loves to be loved. She is outgoing and energetic, but she doesn’t require a great deal of activity. Sweeper is looking for a home as the one and only pet. She’s incredibly loving with people … truly a lap dog who loves nothing better than snuggling. Sweeper is housebroken, crate-trained and knows the command “sit”. She’s a quiet girl who could easily live in an apartment or condo. She’s smart, inquisitive and would do well in training. Sweeper was found chasing a street sweeper for several blocks, hence her name. Her adoption fee of $250 benefits the Illinois Doberman Plus Rescue Group. To meet and possible adopt her, please fill in an adoption application at http://www.ildoberescue.com/adoption/forms/plus.html and follow up by contacting her foster mom Pam at OrphanDobe@Ameritech.net or 847-277-1082. She is healthy, spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, heartworm-tested and on monthly preventative. She is currently being fostered in Burr Ridge, a southwestern suburb of Chicago.
