Westin's Story...
Westin is a gorgeous Lab/Greyhound mix with the sweetest personality! He loves to give kisses and have his belly rubbed and will lay in your lap for a cuddle. He is great on a leash and knows how to "sit". He has definitely been a loved pet! He loves to lay outside, and when he plays with his toys, he shakes them and throw them in the air! He gets along great with other dogs, wags his tail and wants to play. Not sure about cats yet, but couldn't care less about the foster's parrot...which is rare! He is happy in his crate and doing well at potty training. Once you meet this sweetheart, you will love him.

If you'd like to meet this dog, please fill out an adoption application at http://www.sarocks.org/adopt or visit us on facebook at https://www.facebook.com/sarocksorg.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Westin, a San Antonio Greyhound/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greyhound/Labrador Retriever for sale in San Antonio, or seeking a Greyhound/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in San Antonio.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Antonio already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Antonio breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greyhound/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Greyhound/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Antonio paves the way for another one to be saved.
