Here's what the humans have to say about me:
My name is Lady Bird and I am a very sweet, reddish buff, 5 year old cocker girl. I have just come back to rescue because my owner's have moved into an assisted living facility and can no longer care for me. I was originally owned as a youngster by a nice elderly lady who really loved me. Then I lost my home because she was not able to provide for my needs and she felt that I deserved better, so she took me to a shelter. She wanted me to have the chance to have a good life with someone who could take care of me and love me too. I was such a nice cocker girl, the staff contacted CCR for help to find me a great home.
While in rescue I was spayed, updated on shots and health needs and then I found a new forever home with a a wonderful family who had lost their cocker spaniel and decided to adopt me as their new, sweet, baby girl. I was a really shy, very timid girl and my social skills were lacking, but I learned to get along with their grandkids, ages 4, 7 & 8. These rescue folks feel that I will actually probably do best with children over 6 years old.
CCR has now taken me to the vet, so I have been updated on my health needs and I am heartworm negative. The vet did suggest that I will need a dental, so this will need to be done before I can go to my new home. I am still a very timid girl, so I will do best in a calm home environment where I can possibly be with another cocker who would love to have a new pal and yet would be an easy going, dog social buddy for me to spend time with. I am dog social and really sweet. I would love to be adopted by someone who would enjoy spending time with a sweet companion and also could help me to feel comfortable and very loved for the special girl that I am. Maybe I could learn to be your new walking pal and spend some quality time with you. Come see me. I am a shy girl and timid, and when I meet new people, you have to approach me with caution, but then I warm up nicely and I am a happy girl. Please give me the loving home that I deserve,; I would love to meet you so that I can find my new home real soon.
