My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Looking for that miracle dog. The one whose story reaches into your heart. Then meet Scamp.
Scamp has the best rescue story ever. He was found paralyzed up around Dease Lake, BC in December 2012. He had been hit by a car and could not move his back legs at all. Some wonderful folks took him down to Smithers where he was cared for by NorthWest Animal Shelter. Soon after getting there he started to move his back legs. When we heard of this little man, we decided to offer to bring him down to the lower mainland where we could get him more specialized care.
Scamp joined us in Feb. It has been a long haul but thru it all Scamp has proven to be such a great dog. He learned how to walk again fairly quickly but he had problems holding is bladder. No one would want a dog that pee’d everywhere. He has been swimming at K9H2O to strengthen his back legs, He has been to Dr. Danyluk at Shaughnessy Animal Hospital for acupuncture, he has been to Elka Starr for chiropractic adjustments. And all this work is finally paying off. He is now 90% housetrained, and while there is still some nerve damage in his back leg, he is in great shape and loves life.
Scamp is everyone’s friend. There isn’t anything that really bothers him. He likes children, he LOVES other dogs, he is gentle in play and loves to cuddle on the couch. Scamp travels well, and is up for any adventures you can think of.
Scamp is now about 8 – 9 months old, up to date on his vaccines and is now neutered, tattooed and micro chipped. If you think you can offer him a great home please let us know. Scamp needs a fenced yard to play in, another friendly dog to keep him company, someone that is home a lot, and most important someone that will love him for himself.
