ROCKY's Story...
Say hello to our boy Rocky! This handsome but unfortunate Lab mix pup was dumped, along with a cat, across the street from a family's house out on a rural road in Tennessee. The man who saw this happen tried to follow the car that dumped them, but just couldn't catch him. They took the dog in (the cat ran off never to be seen again) and of course they fell in love with him. But again, fate would not give Rocky a break and the people who found him could not keep him. They live on a busy road with no fenced yard and they just don’t have room for 2 dogs in their living situation. Rocky is probably 10 months to a year old, very, very sweet and well behaved especially for such a young dog. He weighs about 45 lbs. and probably won’t get much bigger. Rocky has a wonderful temperament and just an easy going manner about him. He walks very well on a leash, is great with kids and other dogs and from all the pluses that we see, you couldn't ask for a nicer young dog! Rocky is an HHS dog. ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Why Adoption is a Great Option

ROCKY, a Hagerstown Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Hagerstown, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Hagerstown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hagerstown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hagerstown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hagerstown paves the way for another one to be saved.
