Brewsky's Story...
If you like coming home to a little brewsky after a long, hard day, then Brewsky may be just the guy for you. Brewsky is an adorable five month old male boxer hound mix who came into the shelter in February. He is now in a foster home and thriving.

Brewsky is one of the most loving little guys you will ever meet. Brewsky loves to play with the other dogs in his foster home during the day, but at night he wants nothing more than to cuddle up next to his foster mom with a good rawhide.

Brewsky does well other dogs as well as children. He would make the perfect companion or addition to a family. He walks beautifully on a leash. He is housetrained, crate trained, and heartworm negative. Brewsky weighs approximately 25 pounds so he is not a big fellow. He is neutered, microchipped, and current on all vaccinations. His adoption fee is $100.00.
If you are interested in meeting Brewsky, you can contact his foster mom at pdcarson@cox.net or 225-505-9831. He is one cute boy!

All dogs adopted through Friends of the Animals are current on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed or neutered prior to adoption. For more information about FOTA or to make a donation, please visit http://www.friendsoftheanimalsbr.org/.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Brewsky, a Baton Rouge Boxer/Hound (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a Boxer/Hound (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Boxer/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
