Darcy's Story...
Darcy is a young black miniature schnauzer who weighs in at a cuddly 14 pounds. She is thoroughly adorable despite having arrived at the shelter dirty and heavily matted. We're happy to report that this canine cutie has tested negative for heartworm disease and she's totally housetrained.

Darcy is happiest in a warm lap getting lots of love. She is a sweet loyal companion that will fit in well with any family. Please let this precious girl bring joy to your life.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Darcy, a Baton Rouge Schnauzer (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schnauzer (Miniature) for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a Schnauzer (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schnauzer (Miniature) breeders who help with Schnauzer (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
