Knightly's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, a special needs pet, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Knightly's Story...
Meet Knightly. He is great with other dogs and ignores cats. He wags his tail at children, but is afraid of loud noises and needs a serene household. Doesn't bark. Doesn't whine. Doesn't kvetch or annoy. He's basically a 55 lb. stuffed animal that needs to be fed and loved and deserves a do-over in life.

If you, or anyone you know, wants a really low key pet whose expectations of life are about as low as the scar around his neck from a life of being tethered outside, please contact me by texting 225-772-6296 or email reneebacher@gmail.com.

All dogs adopted through Friends of the Animals are current on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed or neutered prior to adoption. For more information about FOTA or to make a donation, please visit http://www.friendsoftheanimalsbr.org/.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Knightly, a Baton Rouge Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
