Robert Dawgie, Jr.'s Story...
I am a fun young boy, only five or six months old and a very good puppy. I really love to play with my friends and I love to curl up on a comfy bed. I am very handsome and have such a soft golden coat. The people at the Haven think I am going to be smaller than a purebred Golden Retriever but they are still trying to figure out what I might be mixed with. I love to meet new people so be sure to stop by and see me. The Haven is open from one to five pm, seven days a week.

I don't know why but I ended up in the county animal control. Lucky for me, I came to the Haven at the Inn where I will be safe and well cared for until my forever family finds me. Please keep checking back for updated pictures and more information.

If you are interested in becoming my new family you can send in an application and be pre-approved to adopt me or any of the other totally awesome dogs who are waiting for their families to find them.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Robert Dawgie, Jr., a Antioch Golden Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in Antioch, or seeking a Golden Retriever puppy from a breeder in Antioch.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Antioch already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Antioch breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Antioch paves the way for another one to be saved.
