Critter is a very special guy who has been with us since last summer. We have been waiting for the right moment to list this pup and now is that moment. When he arrived at our rescue he was a HOT MESS! About half of his fur was missing due to an extreme case of mange; he had a bacterial infection and a host of other medical issues that were caused by extreme NEGLECT....thanks to some very uncaring humans! On top of the medical stuff he had horrendous manners since he had spent the first 8 months of his life living in a basement! We freed him from the neglect he was forced to live and we treated all of his medical conditions and our dedicated staff and volunteers have been working with this guy to make him a calmer and more well-mannered young man. Critter has made tremendous progress in his foster home, learning to live as a loved family member and how to enjoy canine siblings! It is now Critter’s time to find his forever home that will continue to love and cherish him!
Critter is a playful guy, loves his toys and adores playing fetch. He walks nicely and thoroughly enjoys his walks too! He is a snuggle bug who loves a good belly rub. He is very smart and really wants to continue his education and to become a good canine citizen! He will need daily exercise and mental stimulation as well.
If you would like to meet Critter please contact Laurie Yost at LaurieY@pittieslovepeace.com. Critter has been neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped. His adoption fee is $250 and includes a lifetime of hugs and kisses!
The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.

Rescue Group Info...
Pitties.Love.Peace, Inc, is a non-profit organization based out of Central PA, devoted to the rescue and rehabilitation of pit bull and bully mix dogs and puppies. We are an all volunteer group that relies solely on the generosity of donations to care for all of our dogs. Many dogs come to us with serious medical needs; others simply needing love for the first time in their lives. Whatever is needed, we provide.
Pit bulls are one of the most mistreated, misunderstood and misrepresented breeds of all time. It is our mission to save those neglected and suffering at the hands of humans and adopt them into loving forever homes.
We also serve as advocates for the breed we love so much. We work tirelessly to educate the public on the truth about pit bulls and pit bull type dogs. Our hope is to one day restore their reputation to what it once was.
