Stunning brindlicious babe Honey is patiently waiting for the home of her dreams! Honey joined us over a year ago as a 6 month old puppy who was found running in a park in Lancaster, suffering from a horrible case of mange and severe secondary infections. She has blossomed into a stunning young lady with a gorgeous coat and equally as gorgeous almond shaped eyes. Yes . . . Honey is a beautiful girl, and to those she trusts she’s a loyal friend . . . a cuddly, goofy, playful, quirky girl . . . but Honey is not your happy go lucky, easy dog.  Or your go anywhere dog; as in let’s jump in the car and run to the pet store type of dog.  She is anxious and she is fearful.  Fearful of the unknown, including most new people.  You have to earn her trust.  She is more likely to hide behind a familiar face or bark fearful barks at you upon first meeting rather than wiggle into your arms.  But, once you earn Honey’s trust, she is your loyal friend for life and greets you with happy tail wags.  If ever in your life you’ve had an animal that you’ve had to earn their trust and love, their companionship, then you know how amazing – how special – that relationship and love is.  So, if you are an experienced dog owner with a quiet home; if you know you can have a dog that might never like all of your friends; if you know you can have a dog who you can’t take everywhere with you; if you have the heart to meet a dog and not have it go perfectly the first (or second) time; and if you want a friend you have to earn . . . please consider giving Honey a chance at happily ever after.  She has so many great qualities and a lifetime of love to share with someone special.  Could that be you?

To meet Honey, please submit an adoption application, which can be found at the top right corner of our website, Her adoption fee is $250.00 and includes doggie kisses and a lifetime of LOVE.

About Pitties.Love.Peace

About Our Rescue Group...

Pitties.Love.Peace, Inc, is a non-profit organization based out of Central PA, devoted to the rescue and rehabilitation of pit bull and bully mix dogs and puppies. We are an all volunteer group that relies solely on the generosity of donations to care for all of our dogs. Many dogs come to us with serious medical needs; others simply needing love for the first time in their lives. Whatever is needed, we provide.

Pit bulls are one of the most mistreated, misunderstood and misrepresented breeds of all time. It is our mission to save those neglected and suffering at the hands of humans and adopt them into loving forever homes.

We also serve as advocates for the breed we love so much. We work tirelessly to educate the public on the truth about pit bulls and pit bull type dogs. Our hope is to one day restore their reputation to what it once was.
