Ruff Ruff! My name is Annie
|Size:||Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less||Sex:||Female|
I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.
Annie is a loving, friendly Chihuahua. She's a small girl, tall-legged, and large enough at 7.5 pounds for a home with well behaved older kids. Annie is house-trained, healthy and six years old. Annie loves people and other dogs. (Not sure about cats, and is smaller than most cats.) Annie was brought to a shelter when her person died, and was very well loved. She was very, very scared in the shelter, but has been amazing in a rescue environment. Annie has good manners. She loves everyone.

Rescue Group Info...
We take-in small dogs on 'death row' from shelters only.
Ninety-nine percent of our rescues are Chihuahua mixes--many with past abuse and special needs. Please see our website to find out more. Thanks!
We are 501C3 and love volunteers and donations! All money goes to the dogs--we have no salaried staff.
We meet prospective adopters in our village near Santa Fe, NM. We do not ever ship dogs, ever. We prefer 'excellent' out of state homes to mediocre in-state homes. Most out-of-state adopters stay for two days nearby (and have gone through previous screenings). There is an excellent B and B very nearby in Chimayo, or many quality hotels/motels in either Santa Fe or Taos.
We evaluate the needs of the propective adopter via email and phone before the meeting.
We check references, and do home-checks.
We check references, do homechecks, and have a stringent adoption contract.
We do not adopt to homes with small children, unless our adoptive dog would make a good fit.
Fees are on a sliding scale.
