Chester's Story...
Chester is a very sweet, docile and mellow 2 year young Golden Retriever/Corgi/Spaniel mix. He was brought to the Harbor Animal Shelter with another dog who had been shot multiple times with a BB gun. Chester suffered wounds to his back leg and has several broken teeth but he is healing well and is very loving and gentle despite his rocky start to life.

Once you meet Chester, you are sure to fall in love with his old-soul personality and gentle demeanor. Chester walks well on leash, is crate trained, and gets along well with other dogs and cats.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chester, a Los Angeles Golden Retriever/Corgi dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Corgi for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Corgi dog from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Corgi breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Corgi rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
