Benito's Story...
A month ago this sweet boy was found nearly dead on the side of the road in Rome, Ga. Someone had shot him in the face with a .22 and left him for dead. A good Samaritan stopped and picked him up and got him to a vet in Heflin, Al. His jaw was shattered in twenty + pieces and he was covered in sarcoptic mange. Through a serious of amazing volunteers, this little boy finally made it to Huntsville, Al. where we named him Benito, our “little blessing”. Benito is fully recovered (ah, youth!) and is ready for his FORever home. Around 3 months old, Benito is neutered, vaccinated, micro chipped, on Trifexis for flea and heartworm prevention. The vet thinks he is a lab mix. He is all puppy and loves to play and tussle with his foster family. Benito will do best in a home with other dogs, as he still isn’t 100% certain that people are good, but he does bond quickly and LOVES his foster people. To adopt Benito, please contact and ask for an application. Benito is fostered in Huntsville, AL.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Benito, a Homewood Labrador Retriever/Retriever (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Retriever (Unknown Type) for sale in Homewood, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Retriever (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in Homewood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Homewood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Homewood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Retriever (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Retriever (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Homewood paves the way for another one to be saved.
