Pirata's Story...
Hi! my name is Pirata and I am looking for a loving furever home. I was rescued from a very unsafe beach for dogs in Puerto Rico. I am about 5 yrs old, about 15 lbs, happy and healthy. My foster family who lives in Long Island absolutely loves me. I am great with her other dogs, fine with the cats and good with all people. I also walk well on a leash. I like to play but I really love to snuggle on the couch. If you would like to meet me please email meryl@thesatoproject.com. Can't wait to meet you. Love and Kisses, Pirata :))).

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pirata, a Madison Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Chihuahua for sale in Madison, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Madison.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Madison already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Madison breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Chihuahua breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Madison paves the way for another one to be saved.
