My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

5-20-2013 Bio Update: Hi everybody Jackpot here! I have been in my foster home for almost a month now, and I am loving it! I have 1 foster brother and 2 foster sisters that I can play with! My foster mom takes me on walks every day and it is so fun! She says I am doing so much better about walking on the leash, and I am also going outside to do my business! I have only had one accident in the last week and that was because I just got excited and couldn’t hold it. Oops! FM says I am adorable and very, very sweet! She says I am named Jackpot because whoever adopts me would be “hitting the Jackpot,” because I am so special! While I do love my foster family, I really want my very own family. I love everybody and I am such a happy little boy I would be perfect for a family with other dogs or even older children.
Things I love:
1. Hugs and kisses
2. Sleeping in your lap
3. Toys
4. Playing fetch with the ball
5. Chew bones of any kind
6. Taking walks
7. Running around in the backyard
8. Aggravating my foster brother and sisters
9. Treats
If you think you have room in your heart and home for a sweet little boy like me, send us an application! I can’t wait!

Initial Bio 04/28/13: Jackpot is a very sweet, loving little guy who is being fostered in Grapevine, Texas. He is 8 months old and weighs 6.5 pounds. He was surrendered to UYR by his family because they were too busy to spend the time with him that he needed and deserved. He is very playful and has lots of energy. He is still a puppy so he needs some help with housetraining and manners. We will be working on this to get him ready for his new family. He loves to cuddle, give kisses, get tummy rubs, and play with toys.

He appears to be very healthy, has had all his vaccinations, and is negative for heartworms. Also his fecal came back negative.

He is scheduled on Thursday, May 2nd, 2013 to be neutered and have 3 baby teeth removed that are causing problems in his little mouth. After this he will be ready for adoption.

Jackpot will need a family that will have patience with his housetraining and manners. He is very active so he will need a yard to run around in and regular exercise. He came from a family with children, so children 10 and up would probably be okay. His family didn’t have other dogs, but his foster family has 3 and he is getting along with them and really seems to enjoy having little buddies to play with.

Stay tuned for more information as we get to know Jackpot better!
