Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Tonto is a fun loving 10-12 week old boxer mix currently weighing about 15-20lbs. His pictures do not do him justice, he is much more adorable in person. Personality plus with this little man. He is great with kids and dogs his size or bigger. He is good with smaller dogs and cats but being a pup could be a little energetic for some. He's not mean to them. Just wants to play. He is crate trained and is doing well with house breaking. Still needs a little work but has a great start. He is watching and learning from his fellow foster siblings. He's a smart boy too. He loves everyone He meets. Will lean his head on your shoulder to give hugs. He would make a great family but in the mean time his foster family is really enjoying him.
Puppies take a few months to be fully potty trained. Please do not expect a puppy to be fully potty trained until about 4 months of age. Remember....Puppies chew EVERYTHING! Puppies can cry at night. Puppies need a lot of attention and training!
We discourage puppies going into homes that would be left for 8 hours a day while you are at work as it is detrimental to their socialization needs and potty training. These puppies will need discipline and training for the next year of their life. We are hoping we can find a home that is wiling to make this commitment for the duration of the pup's life!
Tontohas been examined by a vet and received his first puppy shots/deworming. He will get the rest of his puppy shots, big boy shots, and will be neutered and microchipped once old enough by Hope 4 Paws. An adoption application is required via email prior to meeting any Hope 4 Paws dog in its foster home. In most cases, breeds stated in the posting are merely our best educated guess as we do not know the history of many dogs that come into the rescue.
