Zorro's Story...
Our Zorro may have a mask, but it’s a mask of fur! This adorable little guy came to APRA looking like an overgrown, tangled up cotton ball, and it was all too clear that he had not been well cared for in his former life. It seems possible that he may have never had a single haircut or brushing in his entire life. Luckily for little Zorro, we have had him groomed and all cleaned up and he is now well on his way to living the life he deserves.

Despite Zorro’s awful, matted conditions upon arrival, he didn’t seem to be lacking a single bit of his charmingly spunky self. Though now, he is much more comfortable and we imagine he feels like a whole new man. This little puff can really light up a room, even while very matted he seemed to always wear his smile. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs, he loves to play and chase and roll around, he seems to be desired cuddle buddy.

This little guy deserves a life in the lap of luxury, or at least a cozy lap! Come meet this handsome little man and show him the love he deserves.

A big thanks to Dee’s Grooming Gallery for Zorro’s fresh new haircut!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zorro, a Smyrna Maltese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese for sale in Smyrna, or seeking a Maltese dog from a breeder in Smyrna.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Smyrna already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Smyrna breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese breeders who help with Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Smyrna paves the way for another one to be saved.
