Andy's Story...
Andy is a 4 1/2 year old black male recenlty retired from a moderately long racing career. He appears to do fine with small dogs and cats.

I’m Andy, an energetic large black male with a white tuxedo. I love to play bob and weave with the volunteers at the kennel. Sure, I realize that some are a little fragile, but I’m always careful not to charge into them when I’m playing; I slice by them with an inch to spare! I call this the volunteer stress test. So far, they’ve all passed HA! I’m an affectionate dog that gets along with my kennel mates, and I’m happy-go-lucky. Perhaps I’ll get lucky and go home with you after I’ve been in foster for a while.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Andy, a Tucson Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greyhound for sale in Tucson, or seeking a Greyhound dog from a breeder in Tucson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tucson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tucson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greyhound breeders who help with Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tucson paves the way for another one to be saved.
