Maddie's Story...
ADOPTION FEE IS ONLY $100! Maddie ended up pregnant in a central CA shelter and she was so sweet we were begged to rescue her. She ended up giving birth to 4 puppies and all of her puppies have been adopted and she is still waiting for her home. She is a wheaten colored chiweenie, and she is super sweet and loving. She is way prettier in real life than in her pictures. She is a dainty girl (about 9 pounds). She was likely kept as an outdoor only dog, but has adjusted to being indoors. She is crate trained and after moving in with another dog she learned to be house trained. She is good with dogs and wants to play with cats and would be great with people of all ages. She is spayed, micro-chipped, vaccinated and comes with a month of free pet insurance.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maddie, a Sacramento Dachshund/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Chihuahua for sale in Sacramento, or seeking a Dachshund/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Sacramento.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sacramento already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sacramento breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Chihuahua breeders who help with Dachshund/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sacramento paves the way for another one to be saved.
