Gin has had a bit of a bumpy ride- this beautiful 5 year old had spent her entire life at a home with one owner and a much older dog and that was about it.
Then one day, her entire life was turned upside down - she went from her quiet routine life to her now foster home of three other dogs... And some much smaller creatures that turned out to be cats.
Chaos. At least from her point of view.
However, slow introductions and just a couple of days later - a bright little soul started to shine again - Gin started coming out of her shell.
Ginger has come quite a long way since that first day! And she will do best with someone that is willing to continue to work with her.
This smart girl needs a constant in her life.
She is a living clock, and really enjoys her routine.
Her foster family feels she would probably be best suited as an only dog so that she can soak up all of the attention for herself. :)
However, with proper intros and a Dane savvy owner, gin would do well with another large male dog.
Gin is one of the best snuggle buddies we've had. Don't get me wrong, Ginger will love you to eternity and back for a good walk, but at the end of the day - it's all about the nose nuzzles and snuggles for this girl.
Honestly, she really just loves her people and will be content just being with you.
Gin is ready for her next adventure! And is looking for a true forever home.
Ginger is a 5 yr old female. She is in a foster home with other dogs and loves them all! She is more of an alpha female so she would do best with males or submissive females. She may be 5 yrs old but this girl has LOTS of energy and LOVES to run laps in the yard chasing her foster brother! She loves everyone and everything! She loves playing with toys, and fetch is one of her favorite games. She is house-trained, crate-trained, and knows some basic commands. She is pretty good on the leash but we are working more on that too. Ginger also likes to snuggle and get affection when she's not playing! She is a great girl and we think a near perfect package!
