Poppy & Tater Tot's Story...
NOTE: This is a courtesy posting for another rescuer. Please do not contact ARRF, as we do not know this dog personally. See contact information below.

These two charming Norfolk Terrier mix (Poppy, a female and Tater Tot, a male) were dumped out of a car in East Lake with no identification, in need of grooming and a bit frightened. They were rescued by my family, and are our newest foster dogs. They have been spayed and neutered, and have easily assimilated into our household. Poppy is 4 years old and weighs 6.5 pounds. Tater Tot is 5 years old and weighs 11.5 pounds. It would be ideal if they could be adopted together as they are quite bonded to each other. They are learning to walk on leash, and both are quite affectionate and playful.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Poppy & Tater Tot, a Vista Norfolk Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Norfolk Terrier for sale in Vista, or seeking a Norfolk Terrier dog from a breeder in Vista.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vista already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vista breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Norfolk Terrier breeders who help with Norfolk Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vista paves the way for another one to be saved.
