Chubbs's Story...
Chubbs is 80 pounds of lovable and playful bulldog! He is estimated to be 1-2 years old, but he thinks that he is a 12 pound puppy. He loves to be around people, but also seems to like a quiet nap alone on his dog bed. He is an absolute sweetheart, with eyes that make you want to cuddle him and kiss that adorable squishy face! He loves attention, loves giving kisses & gets along well with other dogs. Chubbs wasn't taught manners as a puppy, so his foster family is working with him. He tends to act like a toddler when he is tired and needs a timeout/nap in his crate. Fortunately, he loves his crate! He also seems to be house trained. Chubbs loves to explore with his mouth, so he is definitely a bully that needs some supervision until he learns what is his and what isn't. Walking on a leash is also something that Chubbs is in training on, but he is getting better every day! He knows the sit command and will give his paw for treats. Chubbs would prefer a home with no smaller children. He is up to date on shots, and is neutered. He is being fostered in York, Pennsylvania.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chubbs, a Hanover English Bulldog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a English Bulldog for sale in Hanover, or seeking a English Bulldog dog from a breeder in Hanover.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hanover already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hanover breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even English Bulldog breeders who help with English Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hanover paves the way for another one to be saved.
