Hazel's Story...
Update: Friendly, affectionate Hazel has been spayed and both of her babies have been adopted. She's now ready for her furever home!

This delightful new Mama was dropped off at the shelter with her 2 tiny newborn babies. It is amazing how sweet she is through all of this turmoil! She was pulled into foster care luckily and will stay there with her babies until they are old enough to be weaned, and then all 3 will be seeking their forever homes! Hazel is a great mama and a super sweet cat. She is good with kids and is fine with people admiring her babies Such a good girl! She should be available and spayed by the end of March / beginning of April. Most Trenton Cats Rescue cats are either in foster homes or the Petsmart in South Brunswick.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hazel, a West Trenton Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in West Trenton, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in West Trenton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in West Trenton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a West Trenton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in West Trenton paves the way for another one to be saved.
