Trixie's Story...
From the indent in her fur, we assume this super friendly Trixie must have worn a collar and had a home at some point. Sadly, that was long before she found herself wandering the mean streets of Trenton, NJ. Affectionate and loving, we believe this pretty girl is about 9 months old (as of April, 2013). Trixie adores people of all ages but doesn't seem to like dogs very much and takes a little time to warm up to other cats. She's such a love-bug, we had a hard time getting her to pose for the camera!

Most Trenton Cats Rescue cats are either in foster homes or the Petsmart in South Brunswick. If you are interested in Trixie, please email for more information. To fill out our screening form for Trixie, visit: ADOPTION SCREENING FORM

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Trixie, a West Trenton Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in West Trenton, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in West Trenton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in West Trenton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a West Trenton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in West Trenton paves the way for another one to be saved.
