Meet Tess - a super sweet and loving and affectionate girl who needs a really special and understanding family! We pulled Tess from the shelter in 2011 where she wasn't doing well at all. She had been surrendered by her person with no reason given other than they couldn't care for her anymore. She was listed as 2 years old. Well first we noticed Tess was miserable around the other cats in the shelter. She is separated from other cats in foster and seems to be much happier that way. When we took her to be vetted we discovered she is also positive for FIV - however she has shown no symptoms of being sick at all for the last 2 years at all - she is a very healthy girl. If you research about FIV you will discover that this condition does not mean Tess will be sick or require expensive treatments at all. It also does not mean she should be away from other cats - apart from the fact that she really doesn't like them, so we think she'd do better as s single cat. Tess also has a tendency to give gentle 'love bites' at times, so we don't recommend her with small children. It is something she has done maybe 3 times in 2 years, so she doesn't do it often, but we know many folks will overlook her because of this quirky behavior. Tess has been looking for 2 years for someone who can appreciate her quirk and yet super sweet personality - are you the special person for her who will take her out of her basement foster home?
Most Trenton Cats Rescue cats are either in foster homes or the Petsmart in South Brunswick. If you are interested in Tess, please email for more information. To fill out our screening form for Tess, visit: ADOPTION SCREENING FORM
