Trent's Story...
This cutie pie was hanging around the offices of a newspaper, trying to make headlines by being the nicest cat in the world! Unfortunately no-one took him in but when we came along to spay and neuter all of the cats there, Trent very quickly found his way into our hearts and is now enjoying being safe and cozy warm living a life indoors! Someone obviously dumped poor Trent because he really is the sweetest cat ever - he is great with people, other cats and kids - probably dogs too! What a shame he was thrown out on the street and exposed to disease - we list Trent as special needs because he tested positive for FIV and he does seem to have a low tolerance for upper respiratory ailments. He is doing great and requires no expensive crazy treatments, but he does have a tendency to get a little sneezy sometimes, and simple antibiotics do help. He is so gentle there is no risk of him passing this on to other cats. Can you find room in your heart and home to make sure Trent lives a life of comfort from here on out? He sure deserves it!

Most Trenton Cats Rescue cats are either in foster homes or the Petsmart in South Brunswick. If you are interested in Trent, please email for more information. To fill out our screening form for Trent, visit: ADOPTION SCREENING FORM

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Trent, a West Trenton Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in West Trenton, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in West Trenton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in West Trenton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a West Trenton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in West Trenton paves the way for another one to be saved.
