Kenji's Story...
UPDATE: Neobi has been adopted! Just Kenji remains and he really wants to go home!

Kenji and his sister Neobi were abandoned at the age of 5 months but have been safe in our rescue for a couple of months now, so as of March they are about 7 months old. Both are super sweet and fun companions - they love to play, purr and be petted, but are shy at adoption events which makes it hard for folks to see how wonderful they are. They will need a little time to adjust to new people, but will make wonderful pets to the patient, understanding adopter. Their foster absolutely LOVES them and they are gentle souls who love to be held.

Most Trenton Cats Rescue cats are either in foster homes or the Petsmart in South Brunswick. If you are interested in Kenji, please email for more information. To fill out our screening form for Kenji, visit: ADOPTION SCREENING FORM

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kenji, a West Trenton Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in West Trenton, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in West Trenton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in West Trenton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a West Trenton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in West Trenton paves the way for another one to be saved.
