Talia's Story...
Talia is in many ways the ideal pup. She walks well on a leash, hardly ever barks, and likes to be by your side. She gives sweet kisses and loves to be petted. Her calm personality would make her a perfect companion for people with children or people who like to walk/hike with a dog that can keep up and "stay on task". Her colorings and markings are very distinct: mostly white with big patches of pretty, dark brindle. She rocks the one-ear-up look, which is adorable. On walks in the neighborhood, she stays right by your side and doesn't take off after birds or other dogs. In the car, she likes to sit up front with her head in your lap. She's learning to sit, too. Talia is the epitome of sweet!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Talia, a San Antonio Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in San Antonio, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in San Antonio.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Antonio already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Antonio breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Antonio paves the way for another one to be saved.
