Chipps (KC)'s Story...
Chipps is a very pretty black kitty who was surrendered to Trenton Shelter in May because her owner decided she no longer had time for her. And it turns out that poor Chipps was ready to have babies as well! Babies have been born and found homes and now it is time for Chipps to find a furever home too! Chipps is talkative and affectionate and will make a great companion for you! Chipps gets along with everyone!

Most Trenton Cats Rescue cats are either in foster homes or the Petsmart in South Brunswick. If you are interested in Chipps, please email for more information. To fill out our screening form for Chipps, visit: ADOPTION SCREENING FORM

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chipps (KC), a West Trenton Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in West Trenton, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in West Trenton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in West Trenton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a West Trenton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in West Trenton paves the way for another one to be saved.
