Ash's Story...

Ash is a 10 year old Female Cocker Spaniel who came to Fuzzy Pawz when the family decided after 10 years that they no longer wanted to deal with her chronic ear infections. Ash is an absolute sweetheart and we are thrilled we were able to take her into rescue.

The benefits of adopting an older dog like Ash is that she is fully trained and will be just the companion someone is looking for. She is a sweet and very loving dog and will make a great addition to any home. She loves to play with her toys and will always have one in her mouth. She doesn’t care if there are other dogs or cats in the home as she just ignores them and she comes from a family with children. She is just a great, mellow loving dog that goes with the flow.

Ash has all the great qualities of a cocker spaniel and the normal cocker spaniel problems. She is prone to chronic ear infections so her ears need to be cleaned on a daily basis to help prevent them. You have to sometimes talk a little louder to her because of the damage the ear infections have caused. Her eyes do get goopy from them being saggy but you just give them a quick whip and she is good to go.

Ash is house trained, walks well on a leash and is a perfect little lady if left alone in the house.
If you are looking for a great companion, Ash is your girl. Overall, she will make a great dog for most any home.

Ash is spayed and is up to date on her shots. She will come with medication for cleaning her ears and has just been treated for an ear infection which is all cleared up

If you would like to meet Ash to see if she would make a great addition to your family, please complete an adoption application at

There is a $25 adoption fee for Ash.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ash, a Boise Cocker Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel for sale in Boise, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel dog from a breeder in Boise.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Boise already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Boise breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Boise paves the way for another one to be saved.
