Alma's Story...
Alma Salvedo (means saved soul in Spanish) got her name because she was rescued from running on the streets where dogs were attacking her and her only source of food was knocking over garbage cans:( Well that life is behind her now that she is with HART. She is only about 10 months old and 42# full grown. She looks like she is a golden lab mixed with some boxer. She is a calm little girl that would love to have a family of her own. Her adoption fee is $250 and she is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and microchipped. Please complete an adoption application at www.hartofil.com to meet this sweetheart!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Alma, a Plainfield Boxer/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/Labrador Retriever for sale in Plainfield, or seeking a Boxer/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Plainfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Plainfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Plainfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Boxer/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Plainfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
