My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tango has been adopted! yay! 5.20.13
Tango's sincere and loving eyes tell his story. He is a charismatic and joyful pup, at least 6 months old (has all adult teeth) and younger than 10 months old. He loves to play with other dogs, is energetic and curious, but he also is a fast learner. Tango knows sit and is learning shake and down and wait. He is so eager to please his humans. In fact, he LOVES people! Tango is a "velcro dog," and his scores are out the roof in the category of snuggling. His favorite place to be is wherever you are! In addition to giving you kisses and making you laugh, Tango loves to go on walks.

He was house- and crated-trained upon checking into Camp. Granted, he will whimper in his crate, but after a few minutes, he settles in for a long night's sleep. If allowed, he'd love to sleep in his human's bed. We prefer to crate train just so our Campers such as Tango will not be stressed by being in 'the mansion.'

When we found him, Tango was wandering the streets during a heavy rain. Poor little man was covered in mud and grease and confused but it didn't stop him from running straight to me when I called, 'hey buddy!' Tango had no fear of riding in the car then or now, he only wanted to be rescued and reassured all would be okay. And all is okay. From the first night when he got a bath at Wags & Whiskers (East Nashville, they can tell you how super he is!) til this very day, Tango has been nothing but wonderful.

Do you already have a dog? Tango is friends with every dog he meets and would make a great companion for him/her as well as you. He is a healthy, well adjusted, submissive pup. That means he doesn't mind when Furever Camper Shylee Sweet starts kissing him until he collapses onto the floor and allows her to clean and baby him. And when he's a little too rambunctious for our older dogs, he will as they growl at him, and doesn't growl back. Instead, he'll give up and lie down for a nap or find a bone or toy to entertain himself. I could write this boy's bio forever, he is that good and sweet and delightful and funny, and so very endearing. If you would like to meet Mr Tango, please send us an email and we'll send you our application. He is neutered and heartworm negative. His adoption fee is $90. Please read more (below).

Adoption fee is $90. Thank you for wanting to share your home with one of our rescued pups!

If you are a parent adopting for your children, please remember we do pick the best home for our pups. If there are 2 applications that come in at the same time, for example, and one will be a better fit, that is the one we choose. Many parents pump up their children about getting a specific puppy, and it can be very sad for the child if the particular puppy isn't a good fit unbeknownst to them. We put this disclaimer here because a couple of parents have been upset when a home that used doggy daycare & had a fenced in yard was chosen over crate-all-day without a backyard. Peace.
